Calendar 2012 year-end reminders

Here are important year-end gift deadlines and reminders to receive tax benefits for calendar 2012.

Gifts by credit card

The Medical Foundation of North Carolina accepts VISA, MasterCard and AMEX, and you can give in the following ways:

Online gifts
Credit card gifts made online should be completed before midnight Dec. 31, 2012, to qualify as tax deductible contributions in 2012. To make your gift online, go to https://medicalfoundationof nc.org

IRS guidelines require online credit card transactions to be completed by 11:59 p.m. on Dec. 31, 2012 (based on the time zone in which the gift is made), for those gifts to count in 2012.

Credit card gifts by phone
Phoned-in credit card gifts must be received no later than 2 p.m. EST on Dec. 31, 2012. To make a gift by phone, call 919-966-9692. Please have your credit card number, expiration date and daytime phone number ready. After 2 p.m., please use the online giving form at https://medicalfoundationof nc.org

Gifts made by check

If you mail a check, the envelope must be postmarked by Dec. 31, 2012, to count as a gift for the calendar year. Please make your check payable to “The Medical Foundation of North Carolina, Inc” and include a note telling us how you want your gift designated. Please mail it to The Medical Foundation of North Carolina, Inc., 880 MLK Jr Blvd, Chapel Hill, NC 27514-2600. Please call us at 919-966-9692 with any questions.

You may also hand deliver your check to the Medical Foundation of North Carolina, Inc at 910 MLK Jr Blvd Chapel Hill, NC 27514-2600 by 2 p.m. EST on Dec. 31, 2012. Please call us at 919-966-9692 before coming to the office.
